With an early passion in psychology, I moved from China to the US when I was 17. Currently, I'm fully licensed as a counselor in NY, NJ and FL.

If you are reading this, welcome to therapy! My name is Yaying, and I'm a licensed mental health counselor based in New York City. Therapy may seem mysterious, but it is, in fact, a journey to understand and explore the holistic self, to make sense of the world, and to create the change you truly desire.

I was born and raised in China, where I worked as an assistant to a psychological counselor for one year. In 2024, I graduated from Yeshiva University with a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling. I currently hold a Limited Permit as a Mental Health Counselor in NYS.

Throughout my life, I have carried a deep curiosity about the complexities of the human mind and a profound desire to help others. This enduring curiosity and passion have fueled my commitment to becoming an exceptional mental health counselor. I am currently a second-year graduate student in the Mental Health Counseling program at Teachers College, Columbia University, and I am eager to apply the knowledge and skills I have gained to support individuals in effectively addressing and overcoming their psychological challenges.
